Day In the Life of a Mom

Woke up at 6:30 and found this waiting for me.  Baby Spawn is just sweetest thing out there!!!  To bad I don't eat waffles or syrup, but hell the bananas were awesome!

Even poured my coffee and left me a fork... seriously, love this kid!

After the great breakfast, headed to freeze my ass off at 7 am while Spawn had a soccer game.

Dropped her off then headed to the lake to run five miles.

As soon as my run was done, I jumped in the car and headed to Cross Fit.  Cuz, five mile run just did not seem like enough.

Got home and chowed down on this......

Showered really quick then headed out to Spawns softball game.  By this time it was crazy hot and I was crazy exhausted.  Sorry guys, yes it is February and yes it is in the 80's and yes, I have already started working on my tan for the season.  Don't hate!

Figuring it is only noon and I have had a day full of running around, I spent two hours yelling and relaxing and yes I can do both of those at the same time!

After Spawns game, we headed off to Baby Spawns practice.  Yep that is right, still can't go home.  Spawn and I sat in the car, rolled down the windows and took a nap.

As soon as practice was over, I headed to the store to get a few things, ended up getting sucked in by the cute little Girl Scouts, figured kids deserved a treat, yep these were gone in two minutes and yep, I did not eat a one!

Poor Baby Spawn barely made it a mile from practice before I realized he was extra quiet, hmmmm...... this would explain it.

We cooked dinner then, Spawn and I hit the bed and were both asleep by 8 pm.

And I wonder why I am never rested when the weekend is over!  Two games, a run, crossfit, grocery shopping and a practice all in six hours!

  1. This is super parent stuff. I love my kids, but I did not enjoy that period when it was run, run, run. They are a bit older now and it has slowed down to a more comfortable pace.

I catch a lot of flack for saying that, but I just couldn't keep up with you parents who did it all the time.

Sounds like you have it under control.

    1. It wears me down and I love the weekends they are with their dad and I get a break from shuttling them around. Keeps them busy and out of trouble, but damn, it is exhausting!

    1. I think more like Crazy mom! Keeps them busy and me outside. If they didn't play I would hibernate all the time.
